Robert Lucio is in his 7th year as the "Voice of Rattler at the Half". He is the Training Officer for the Energy Section of the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs (TDHCA). Lucio has lived in San Marcos all his life, except when serving in the U.S. Navy as a Naval Flight Officer. He logged over 7,600 flight hours and 389 carrier landings flying F-14 Tomcats, RA-5C Vigilantes and P-3 Orions. Lucio is a graduate of TOPGUN and has served aboard the carriers Enterprise, America, Kennedy, Nimitz, and Eisenhower. Lucio has served as a director to the Central Texas Higher Education Authority, Chairperson of the SMCISD Multicultural Commission, and as a member of the SMCISD Rattler Band Booster Club, Bowie PTA, and co-founder of the Class of 2005 Parent/Student Association. Robert Lucio is married to Josie V. Lucio a computer instructor at SMHS. They have two children, Janellica, a Senior at Southern Methodist University (SMU) and Gabriel, a Junior at SMHS.
